During their visit in Belgium, Master’s students Metaxia, Kostas, and Joanna (NKUA) also took part in the Open Cultuur Hackathon (Collectie van de Gentenaar) with Co-creation course students.
In Metaxia’s words: “It was a unique experience that we will definitely remember for a long time! A great part of this experience was our participation in Hackathon! In the first stage, the 3 of us worked and along the way a new member was added. We exchanged ideas and saw how we could work together with a person we don't know at all, but we have a common goal. So, that was our main involvement with a co-creation project.”
Kostas adds: “For me Hackathon was a creatively competitive environment, a fruitful co-creation session within which we quickly glided through the four Design stages to create an artifact concerning a major social issue. Although I would have liked to be teamed up with strangers, it was a great chance to distinguish how critical setting roles and teamwork rules is, even among people that have worked together before.”
We would like to thank the organizers of the Hackathon and all participants for creating this mutual learning space.
