SUMMARY

Due to the pandemic situation and travel restriction, the 2nd training workshop was organised in a virtual form between 9 and 13 November and elaborated on the various aspects of co-creation in education and entrepreneurial activities. 

The goal of the 2nd training workshop was to familiarise partners with educational and entrepreneurial aspects in T-Crepe project. The theme of this training workshop was Focus on students – Feelings of ownership in co-creation.

The targeted learning outcomes were:

• understanding of the basics of promoting and supporting of students innovative and entrepreneurial activities
• creating students-university co-creation possibilities
• supporting students’ commitment by fostering feelings of psychological ownership
• learning partners’ best practices
• knowing about acquiring such knowledge and skills through design-based learning

The training workshop was originally planned to be 5-day training in three different cities in Finland (Lappeenranta, Lahti and Helsinki). However, COVID-19 pandemic forced to re-think the arrangements, and finally, the training workshop was held as an intensive four-day event. The workshop included lectures, presentations, discussions, virtual visit to a protolab and brainstorming session.

Special attention was given to the aim of bringing a feeling of visiting Finland and Lappeenranta to the participant, although all interactions took place virtually. A surprise box of Finnish items were sent to the participant beforehand, and the idea was to open the boxes together.

FEEDBACK

• The feedback was generally positive, although the original idea of the visit could not be actualized.
• According to the feedback, the aims were achieved though many actions of the original content could not be organized, e.g. visiting companies or having the normal and very important social program.
• There was a desire of more interactive elements during the seminar, a constant and very important aspect to be noticed in the next and similar

The seminar ended with a wrap-up and T-Crepe consortium meeting. Several ideas and aims were clarified further, giving thus solid corner stones for the next T-Crepe actions.
